Bergen Timber Space Saving Staircase

Space saver stairs are an increasingly popular choice and ideal where space is limited. The Bergen loft stair takes about half the space of a standard flight due to the unique tread shape. This unique trade shape overcomes the problem often associated with steep stairs, enabling comfortable descent facing forward with plenty of foot room. Although in use for many years, the alternating tread stair was actually included in the Building Regulations (Part K) in 1992. However, as with all stairs, it is advisable to confirm with the local Building Control Department before you purchase and fit this loft stair.

• Optional ranch rails available (allow an extra 30mm to the width of the Stair for each rail fitted)
• 1/2 risers in pine (fitted under the tread) are available to comply with building regulations if required
